Why are people always so down about other peoples' behavior? Take care of your own life instead of judging others. If someone loves more than one person, isn't that just more love? Why are all of you reducing it to sex? The piece from ABC didn't.

Why are people down on others behavior? Because others behavior affects all of us. We would not have laws in place and police if nothing mattered.

It's not ad hominem because I stated before that it is an unhealthy arrangement. People should not be encouraged to pursue anything like this. It is bad socially and emotionally.

When all else fails, nothing like resorting to the ad hominem approach, eh? Yes, I've had my challenges over the years but my son is doing quite well. The extracurricular pursuits were primarily drama and Boy Scouts and he's now pursuing a degree in anthropology and has been on digs in North and South America.

It is pretty obvious that your mind is closed and you think you know what is best for everyone else in society. Against such prejudice, I might as well be trying to teach pigs to sing.

Mess up big time. If you want a child, you can get from sperm bank and many other medical ways. This doesn't look like a happy ending.

Having "more" extracurricular activities doesn't mean anything. You have to excuse me, but by looking at your picture, I am sure athletics and fitness was not a part of your lifestyle and I would wager a bet that it wasn't a part of your son's either. You look like you have lead a very unhealty lifestyle.

So? What is your point? I can find people who have been using cocaine and other hard drugs for years and others who have been drinking heavily for several years say the same kinds of things people like you say about their lifestyle and have professionals who seem to be supportive of them. The fact remains that this is something which is a deviant lifestyle. To say that polyamory is "not for everyone" is an understatement.

I found a clip where Dr. Drew Pinsky and Simone Bien interviewed the family in the Showtime series. Dr. Drew may have been a bit more skeptical, but Simone Bien seemed supportive--especially since the family acknowledged that it was not an easy course and not for everyone. I personally know two professionals, one an MFT, the other a PhD, who deal with addiction recovery and neither of them would make the claims you state.
