Your Lullaby-Live Acoustic

This is me, Matthew Green from Polticks (a soulful rock band from DC) playing a song I wrote entitled "Your Lullabye" at SonikWire studios in Irvine, California. I was taking a break from recording vocals for our album 2 coffees 1 juice, and the guys decided to set up a chair and few mics for the heck of it. This is the first time I did this live (and i don't play guitar in public really) so i was a bit nervous...not to mention on this day, they had some random camera guy in studio to capture some random footage of me for some band extras. Hope you like it.

I wrote this song a few months after a breakup with a girl that i was pretty much head over heels for. I guess for me, writing a "lullaby" was my way to express my feeling to her every night...even if she didn't know it. And to be 100% honest at the time i just wanted her back so badly that i felt like maybe writing this song would inspire her to give us another chance...
