How many live versions of this song are there on youtube? Many, probably a dozen or more from back in the day. In how many of them does Dave sound better than this? None. Anyone that says Dave's lost his chops is nutty.

@helimech60 Just because his last name isn't Van Halen then he never was part of the band? DLR doesn't have the Van Halen last name, and theres people bitching that without DLR is not VH. Would you rather have another singer with the VH last name? if you have any of their albums, it clearly says: Van Halen is: David Lee Roth Edward Van Halen Alex Van Halen Michael Anthony and even in the SH years it states: Van Halen is: Michael Anthony Sammy Hagar Alex Van Halen Edward Van Halen

Sammy Hagar had a whole career before VH and he has enough talent for another one after.
Still, Van Halen is David Lee and Michael Anthony and the boys. It never felt true with any other line-up. Sorry.

@Griffen427 Have you heard the old live recordings? Didn't even try to keep the lyrics straight, had no more range than he does now, and didn't sound any better. At least now he's trying, and I thought he sounded excellent at both shows I went to.
