  • Without knowing the fps (frames per second) on a video, you can not tell the speed of the car. This is a slow motion video (high fps) thats why it looks slow.

The IIHS and NHTSA test their vehicles around 35-40 mph.

    Ratings for 2007:

    IIHS:Front Good/Good Side Marginal/Good

    NHTSA: Front 5/5 Side 4/5 Rollover 5/5

Just wanted to put that out there.

  • Yea this is only 20MPH crash. At 15 mph it's already shot. Americans don't know how to make cars.

  • its at 35-40 mpg.

  • i have a 2005 ! great car.

  • front alone behind the wheel at night alone

  • Where were you sitting in the car? In the front or back?

  • lucky!

  • Just a broken fore arm, with metal plates. Nothing else

  • What were your injuries?

  • yea I did survive. yea i know its odd

  • You survived an 80-mile impact? Somehow that doesn't ring true.

  • es, its true that the Volkswagen Passat is toast at an 80MPH crash just like every car, but thank God I only broke my arm and back to normal because the shell of the car protected me from such an impact. I survived an 80 MPH crash.
