In the winter of 2004 I attended Escape Studios, London where as part of my course I was required to produce a short piece of animation within two weeks. The brief was that a character should try and escape from some sort of imprisonment.
Although the sound was partly made with a metal spoon in the studios toilet and having virtually no 3D experience before hand it still has appeal to me. Hope you enjoy it.

what program(s) did you end up working with to produce this?
EscodeProductions 1 year ago
@EscodeProductions The main program was Maya. This is what I used for all the animation. I then used Photoshop for the textures and finally I used Adobe Premier to put it all together.

do you think cinema 4d is a better program thn maya?

@EscodeProductions I honestly haven't tried Cinema 4D. I like Maya because I have used if for a while. If you are interested in learning about the basics of Maya I have a tutorial available at cg-hq.com

@TimLIVID
might check it out when i have time i suppose...sounds cool...i love cinema 4d coz it's so easy to use...that's why it's so popular =) what else do you do and use?

@EscodeProductions That's pretty much it to be honest. Being a student nurse keeps me rather busy at the moment but I do want to get back into the 3D game at some point.
