Yes, I understand it's a problem AND it's been going on for years - BUT it became an epidemic under the Liberals who bowed to pressure from the doctors who raised many objections to allowing foreign credentials equal value.

The FEDERAL Conservatives have been working on pushing through legislation to make it easier but the Liberals have been blocking it.

If you don't have the population to support them, hospitals are very expensive to operate.

When you combine a nation-wide doctor shortage, plus decline populations in the maritimes - everyone's off to Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the North - then how can you justify keeping marginal hospitals open?

No. I'm talking about New Brunswick. I watched Lord kill hospitals in all the outlying towns in the province, and the ones he didn't kill, he tried to cut back their services. Then he'd complain that public health care was inaffective.
