The Monasteries took a vital part in battling and defending the land and were specially involved in preserving the religious ideals and spirit.

That's why there were built monasteries and Castles, to keep the power of the conquered lands against the Islamic army.

Today we still can find very beautiful buildings surviving from that time that are the testimonies of some of the most significant events in the History of the Humanity

not to forget soldiers/villagers both rich and poor/ some...50% architecture...and 100% armour/weapons are TOTALLY WRONG BUT I SUPPOSE YOU WOULD NEED A blockbuster FILM BUDGET to reenact PROPERLY...

im a student of history/genetics and Some things are authentic medieval spain but some are totally wrong,; cloths were more vibrant with the rich/not with the poor but they didnt wear rags/straw cowboy hats but some is right like the priest and SOME architecture; monasteries excetra anyways i suppose it would cost toooooo much to reenact with 100%authentic that is; what they used to wear/have; clothing and architecture excetra...but they nearly got it maybe JUST 50% so.....RIGHT.....NEARLY...!!
