QUEZON CITY, Philippines--Famed composer and University of the Philippines alumnus Ryan Cayabyab talks about the song he composed as a tribute to UP, "Salamat Sa Iyo, UP." The lyrics were written by Romeo Candazo. The song was played for the first time during the kickoff of the UP centennial celebration on Jan. 8. Video taken by INQUIRER.net reporter Alex Villafania.

  • It's true... UPIS Batch 2003 was the first bunch that sang the song on an official UP Gathering (their high school graduation).. Go batchmates! =D

  • our batch in UPIS we're the first one who sang this as our graduation song last 2003.. mr. ryan cayabyab also graduated from the very same school..
