QUEZON CITY, Philippines--Famed composer and University of the Philippines alumnus Ryan Cayabyab talks about the song he composed as a tribute to UP, "Salamat Sa Iyo, UP." It's true... UPIS Batch 2003 was the first bunch that sang the song on an official UP Gathering (their high school graduation).. Go batchmates! =D

our batch in UPIS we're the first one who sang this as our graduation song last 2003.. mr. ryan cayabyab also graduated from the very same school..

This song was first performed by the University of the Philippines Integrated School graduating Batch of 2003 for their graduation. He composed this song for free.

The song was not played for the first time during the kickoff party. He previously performed it during the 2005 University Graduation when he was the commmencement speaker.
