Missouri Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder spoke at the Sherman T. Parker banquet. The banquet was part of the first conference hosted by Move-on-Up.org, a social network of African American conservatives and moderates. Kinder spoke about the public education system that is failing Missouri's urban children--especially the children of St. Louis and Kansas City. He emphasized the need for school choice.
Kinder is the likely GOP candidate for governor in 2012.
