Ralph Fiennes opening speech before the credits for this early nineties teleivision film about T.E Lawrence. This is Ralph Fiennes first film role.
The film starts with a quote from Lawrence's book, Seven Pillars of Wisdom:
"All men dream; but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds awake to find that it was vanity; But the dreamers of day are dangerous men. That they may act their dreams with open eyes to make it possible."
Will upload more of this film later.

  • Thank you for uploading this. I saw this miniseries years ago and I was mesmerised. I think Fiennes did a superb job. I will be buying the dvd next time I fly to the UK.

  • @mrsotter19 Yes I agree, the video is hard to come by, I bought mine online, it's not a common dvd here, the one I bought came from Poland..lol

  • If I could have chosen any well known actor to play the part of Lawrence, other than O'Toole, it would have been Fiennes. While the two men's styles of acting are hardly identical, there are still noticable similarities; they're both very Shakespearean, more oldschool, and both have blue eyes.

  • @GiantPetRat yes Fiennes was a good choice for the role, a character's style set by O'Toole in the original film but not necessarily like the real Lawrence himself.

  • Thank you for posting, Mitsy.
