This is the "A" take that was originally issued on 78; if you know the "B" take then you'd know that this release was obviously a mistake.
The "B" take was issued on 78 right before or after WWII on a Columbia "budget" release on Harmony; it is more artistically satisfying in every way.

His rhythmic sense on this is amazing. He just owns the tune. He was a natural jazz singer, one of the best. I wish he'd gone more in this direction instead of the commercial one he was steered into. Oh, well, he's long gone now, and I'm grateful for what he left us in those early years. Thanks so much for putting this up on You Tube.

Can't understand why they called Frank Sinatra "Ole Blue Eyes". Look at those peepers on Bing! He stands alone in the Valhalla of Earth Idols. His kid brother Bob was a fine singer too, and had about the hottest swing band on the planet.

sounds more like Al Jolson

So frustrating - this song (as with many of recorded songs of the period) is only part of the actual song; minus the verses!

Thanks! This is my little daughter's theme song :)

My daughter's name is Bella, and she's one year old, and I sing this song for her as 'Sweet Bella Brown' :) Love this one!
