after you sit the head.. and you start to bring the head up to pitch... doing it sequentially rather than crisscross... you say that you start hearin a clear pitch... but since you started the sequential tuning... you just automatically turned to a pitch... did you already knew how much to bring it up to?... or did you just turned each lug to the point of resonance again?

@buba2346 buy the exact same drums and us the exact same heads, sticks, and tuning as their drummer, that should work.

Geezus drum tunig is easy as hell.... just completely tune them down... then turn the lugs with your fingers to the point you cant turn them any more... you will then have a basic real low pitch..... and then tune them with the drum key, quarter or half turns .... just keep all the lugs at the same pressure... and remember to tune your reso head about one and a half quarter of a turn higher than the batter.... that way you will have better resonance and better low-end.... that s all
