Divided Betta Tank

This is a five gallon tank that I've divided for two of my male bettas: Leonardo (on the left) and Michelangelo (on the right). The tank is cycled and the temperature is kept at 78F.

*For those of you that might be worried about the possible stress of them being able to see each other through the divider, I'd like to point out that I keep a very close eye on both of them and for the most part, they simply ignore each other. If one or both were to become seriously stressed, I would immediately change the set up to ensure their safety.

@gunner8254 No, I do not breed them. I don't have the space to care for that many bettas and would have no reliable way of finding homes for them.

Where did you get this tank? I can't seem to find a dual 5 gallon one.

@kinseycola The tank did not come divided. I got a regular five gallon (from Wal mart) and made the divider from plastic mesh.

@kinseycola how did you make the divider? Besides the mesh, the tings that hold it in? Also where did you get the supplies? Thanks

@adamdavidrodgers The sides that hold it in place are made from report covers (the kind with a clear plastic page cover and a plastic side that just slides on and off), which I found at Staples.

one question.. i have a 5 gallon with a divider like yours.. my filter is on one side and the heater on the other..but for some reason it doesnt seem to filter all the way around the tank..? is this happening to you aswell? if not any suggestions?
