Let me correct that: Lol, I meant to say I followed this storm from home in Broomfield. But I was parked in Wiggins when the second cell literally exploded on radar, which was a good thing because that first line had weakened when I was about to drive back to Denver and call it a "bust". I encountered some quarter-sized hail in Wiggins and when I drove south out of the hail shaft, I began to see a lowering and that's when I shot east on I-76 towards Ft. Morgan to get in front of it.

My family sure wasnt far enough away
That funnel appeared less than a mile away from my backyard
Cuz i know we werent cheering lol
i watched (shall i say chased) this storm from Wiggins to north of Brush. lots of great rotation but the storm never seemed to produce anything more than just a few funnels. supposedly, a tornado touched down just north of Ft. Morgan but i never saw any debris cloud.

We actually followed the front of that storm all the way from Northglenn, by Denver. It had great movement the whole way, then we got stuck going into it by getting on a bad road going the wrong direction. We were going to head home and sure enough we find funnels as soon as we got back to I-76. We got lucky I would say.
