  • Teenagers & Kids with $30,000+ laying around?

  • Leo Laporte and his TWiT network heavily use the TriCaster and it's an outstanding unit. I may be getting one some day for my podcast.

  • Back in 2000, I used a Trinity (now Globecaster) to switch live news here in Mexico city. It was conected to 3 stage cameras, 2 DVCam decks and a MAC running finalcut. It did a decent job for almost 2 years, before the new boss decided to replace it with a SINERGY switcher...he found out the hard way that the Trinity was installed first because we didnt had access to a bigger staff, and our tv production was local only to cable tv.

  • People dont forget that after buying this unit you have to shell out $2,000 or the same amount as the Tricastor or more for 2-4 cameras and lighting/hardware/backdrops, etc. depending on quality and quantity,

    Unless you already have them....

  • @stanoscepan so You have one of the new bit secret tv also that make 3D without the need for glasses I find that there are so many tv stations that have not moved to hd and then now everone now has to spend more money this year for 3d cameras for the new 3d tvs coming to public in the next few years I think that if tech moves any faster then there will be no tv. lol no tv or no online shows if they will upgrade for they will be needing more money.

  • NewTek has remained on mission to put the power of the broadcasters in the hands of the people. This is the true evolution of the Video Toaster. I'm looking forward to an HD version.

  • Current models are Standard def. New model (XD-300) out fourth quarter with even more features including High Def - under $15k

  • Starting under $4000
