Thank you for that, am right in saying this was not always the case though? Once a power cut or something set off an alarm and it was heard in both the Thames and HTV (or another) region on a junction. Not sure when though.

Would this junction have been transmitted from Thames or from the HTV West region? Just wondering as Tom did stuff for both a lot of the time and I wondered where they would have been done. Thanks for sharing.

This junction was sourced from HTV, albeit from their studios in Cardiff, rather than the HTV studios in Bristol, as Cardiff housed the transmission facilities for the different Wales and West services.
Tom Edwards, like his Thames colleague Peter Marshall, were regular relief announcers on HTV West, as was LWT's Peter Lewis; while HTV announcers Patricia Yorston, Victoria Crawford and Jenny Ogwen also appeared on Thames.
