Wow, your dad is amazing! My dad also suffered a stroke on December 2009. He's doing quite well now thanks to therapy. I still remember the first time he sang after the stroke, it was on January 2010... I got sooo happy.

that's nice, im handling a stroke patient. and i am encouraging him to sing, too. i think it's one good therapy for a left-sided hemiparesis/plegia.
one word of advice, left-sided stroke survivors are generally irritable and fast in saying words that might offend his/her caregivers. it is typical so please don't get offended by them.
stroke doesn't build a family, it reveals the true character of it...be strong.

your dad can move his hands during 1st attack?

Yes, luckily, he did not suffer from any severe health problems during the 1st stroke. He was able to go back to work and carry on. This second stroke caused paralysis in his left arm and slurred speech.

my dad just suffered his 2nd stoke. he is in the hospital right now, he had it on thursday. his speech is slurred and he cant move his left side either. how is your father doing?

I'm so sorry to hear that about your dad. =[ I know how difficult it must be to cope with. I really hope that you and your family stay strong and help one another. My father is doing much better now. He is able to move his left arm again and does not slur anymore. The strength of his arm is not yet back to it's original state, but he continues to "teach" it and exercise. Being patient and keeping a positive attitude really aided in his recovery. I wish your dad the best in recovery as well.
