  • Install this shit on somone's computer that'll come to you to "fix it" for cash!

  • @pur99strpka it does have internal 3g, so it doesn't need to be near wifi to be remote killed. all intel anti theft processors have this.

  • omg i just stole this laptop and it has anti theft, i better just take it back. or i could smash it like any other person would

There is a thing called, "Turning the wireless off". So if it was turned off they could browse through all their information, documents, passwords, use a recover file tool to recover deleted documents to retrieve credit cards, information and anything else you could think of. If it has it's own WIFI\Cellular connection implemented into the laptop, which can't be disabled. Then sure, it will work.

  • @mil42012 until they look at the file timestamps and notice you called AFTER that time....

  • @aoxilus intel AT also includes passwording the hard drive in the bios.

  • @pur99strpka it's done via cellular SMS. so even if

the person had no service where they took it.. the minute it got service it would deactivate the laptop.

  • That's when the theif throws your laptop to the ground, You don't get it returned, who are we kidding

  • Alright, I see how they called to get it disabled. That means it would obviously need a connection, ie: internet. So If the person disabled the internet it wouldn't get a connection, or just took out the wifi then it can't be disabled..?
