I put this together after asking a few friends if they had ever heard of Selma or the importance of Selma's history. Almost everyone I spoke to knew nothing of Selma, including my daughter a senior in high school.

  • I"m from the other side of the bridge(Selmont). I hate that he didn't go over there.

  • born and raised here, its cool u captured all of old downtown but there is more to selma than that.....but you did go down by the old train depot by holly farm supp. alot of people forget about that side of town...would have been nice to see the city marina in this film, or even out hwy 80 where the old drive in theater was and craigfield...but besides it was a great drive through and song! oh yea you almost got hit on the corner when you turned by sneakers...

  • I have driven and walked those streets and The Bridge many times. When I was growing up there most everything on Water St was closed, except the liquor store, which daddy visited quite often! Seeing this video reminds me how much I don't miss it, it has changed so much,

  • This would be an excellent video except for the high speed scences. I found Selma to be an intriguing town but did not visit the cemetery.

  • God Bless Selma Alabama, Home now and forever.

  • Love that town and the background song. Now i feel like taking a road trip

  • Nice video of selma ive always liked that part of alabama. Living in Atlanta makes me want to move down there a little more everyday.

  • I was born and raised in Selma, might not be much but everybody knows everybody and ain't nothing like the country. Damn I miss it.
