  • those guys should use proper units and terms. Saying gravity is 9.8 doesn't mean anything. Gravity? Do they mean "force of gravity" or "gravitational field strength" or "acceleration due to gravity"? I guess they meant to say that "acceleration due to gravity" is 9.8 m/s^2 or "gravitational field strength" is 9.8 N/kg. (On earth's surface)

  • Yes, you are correct! The acceleration due to gravity or gravitational field strength are more accurate descriptions. Since most problems we solve take place on the surface of the Earth we sometimes just call it "gravity" for the sake of simplicity. Livin' in the hood, composin' dope rhymes, and teachin' physics ain't easy... perhaps you can cut a brotha slack.

    Peace,

    20 Newton

That's "Newton" used as the unit of Force

By the way who are Chopin and Liszt, are they West side???
