Due to the number of major titles Martina won and the ability across all surfaces,and not to mention doubles titles, as well and the longevity of her career. There can be no valid arguement that she is not THE greatest tennis player to to take to a tennis court male or female..

@GUY469, not to mention she also holds the grand slam box set and has won over 360 collective titles including 167 in singles and 177 in doubles.

The only argument one can make for Graf is that she may be (emphasis on "may") the best "singles" tennis player. There are arguments both ways there. But... no way in hell is she the best tennis player overall. Martina has so many doubles and mixed doubles grand slams that it almost looks like she was using cheat codes :D

how can selse and graf be the best? makes no sence. Martina is clearly the greatest female tennis player ever and she's got more than enough numbers to prove it.

Hi, what I meant was I was respecting her in that some may find it amazing that she can play so good after you're past 30 or 40. But I just meant that Martina is awesome, no matter of age. Age doesn't mean anything. And Martina proves it.
