  • thanks for the info. im in the process of modifying my bird with a few things and the plain hood just dosent cut it for me.

  • You can always use a stock TC hood too.... I also had a hood with a '69 MachI scoop on it, (that is what was on it after I painted it)

  • whats the deal with hood scoop? its cool. did you fiberglass the scoop on there or is there some after market hood for sale out there that i dont know about?

  • Thanks... That is a stock, bolt on scoop from an '82 Mustang GT.

  • Nice, Check out my 1988 T-Bird. Got mass air as well. Still in progress. Just put Nitrous in, eibach springs, bilstein shocks, custom headers/exhaust. On my home page. Still got a ways to go.

  • my t bird was also that dessert rose color

  • This thing IS a one legger, and Chevys have Posi, Fords have Trac-lok.

All Turbo Coupes came with limited slip diffs, pre 87 are rear drum axles with 7.5 diff that would bolt right up to any bird. 88 and 87 Sport had LSD too, with drums and 8.8 rear diff. If you want to convert all your brake lines and master cylinder you can use the later 8.8 Turbo axle with disc brakes. Mustang axles are about 1.5 inches shorter

  • 87 5.0 best car i've owned thing ran like a top

  • you need some more v-tec fluid

  • nice one wheel peel

  • Hey ive got an 88 tbird and im in the process of doing some light modifications, I saw that youve got a posi in your car, was that factory? because mine is a one legger from factory.

  • ya i did go with the turbo coupe scoops. im gona cut out my stock hood to fit the scoops and hope to make them functional. mine is an 87' 5.0
