@TwistedLogic84 Indeed, quite unfortunate, but it was worth a try. I was mainly addressing his early comments on rules, about mishaps for landing near enemy troops.

Nice shoe-string win :)

Is the completely white tau battlesuit a custom or is it some special unit?

Nice win! If I was in the position I don't think I'd be able to pull it off.

drop pods and mysetic spores never mishap. monoliths can mishap off the table and on terrain.

odd comments, if a drop pod scatters off the table or land on your own troops or within 1" of an enemy model... it's then rolled on the mishap table as per usial :)
the only rules thay thay are "immune" to is landing in terrain you guide them to the nearist safe spot.
also i am confused, drop pods must be split in half and the first half rounding up* must be deployed on the first turn, the second half are then treated as normal reserves.
so how come your drop pod wasn't on first turn?

@nowaihunteh The drop pod scattered off the table and was destroyed on the mishap table. Black Templars still use the old drop pod rules and as such are not obligated to bring in half of there drop pods turn 1.

@nowaihunteh The Black Templar codex states that if it scatters within 1" or impassable terrain, the scatter distance is reduced until it can land.

@PaulusCunctator indeed it does but off the table is not impassable terrain its just nothing. thats what we played at the time and thats why the drop pod mishapped.
