Yes, I thought maybe she didn't give an encore because she was dissatisfied. She didn't give a solo recital either at Verbier, so you think she would want give an encore. The piano and orchestra are so obviously out of sync that it seems almost willful, as though on purpose.

  • Don't believe Temirkanov enjoyed this at all, what a mess, but practice makes perfect, maybe XD

  • @MartinPadderborn I don't get why people have to micro-analyze this stuff. Why can't you just enjoy it. People are imperfect. Orchestras, despite numerous rehearsal sessions contain many imperfect people who are going to make mistakes, big and small. I think if we all allowed a little more flexibility, we might find more enjoyment in things instead of criticizing them. I'm not asking to reward mediocrity, but our expectations of perfection are a little unreasonable.

  • @TheKapselis I've been playing piano all my life and this woman is extremely talented. For someone to nitpick her performance demonstrates to me that they either have low self-esteem or extreme envy...or both. Get off your high horse.

  • @joshkramermusic If you have your own business and ask another company to provide you with a service which eventually is not as good as you have expected, the provider will just tell you: "you don't have 1/100th the skill I have!"... Ungh, your reasoning is senseless

  • I think everyone complaining about ANYTHING in this video needs to pull their heads out of their asses and learn to play the piano with 1/100th the skill that this woman possesses in her pinky finger. The end.

  • @mdehkram

I've always 'heard' this 'slower' tempo inside my heart and mind.

FINALLY I hear someone else play this master work in such a calm tempo!

    Geert Dehoux, pianist.

  • @Theonedue

    So what ??!

FINALLY I hear a 'slower' version of this beautiful concerto!!

    Geert Dehoux, pianist.

  • I think the conductor secretly hates her. I can't imagine other reason of why this is so... out of sync (so to speak).

  • how awesome ! this is amazing !

  • Good, but too slow. Rach played this faster.

  • @MrStrangeSensation Can't tell if joking.

    (It's already out.)
