  • all the P-Funk bands are INCREDIBLY TIGHT the amount of improvising they do live, the variations everytime a song is played, how the singer can say a word and the entire band will do exactly what he wanted how he wanted it. incredibly tight playing band, sound like they've been playing together for 80 years!

  • George is just the baddest motherfucker there is.

Straight undiluted funk at its nastiest.

  • @OrgenaII-This is the horn section that you find on the Funkentelechy album.

  • alot of you never saw them then. like a once in a life time comet. priceless!!!!!!

  • @terry47family the whole band had to some type of prodigy. can you get to that?

  • russel156 " sho" U right, no more Maceo, Fred, Booty, James,; yes James and Clinton's musical forms are connected by rhythm each form takes on different musically rhythm form and are different than day and night, all of which are funk. God Father musical form was on the 4 count, where as we all know that Clint's count is on the 1. Nonetheless, they all are musical treasures.PS Worrel, a trained musician and child prodigy

  • @russel156 Let discuss this by email. I'm "dwizardoz@verizon.net."

Look again, George's band was James' old band. I like Prince. Jimmy, Terry, and Morris are among the best. They are still no Fred, Maceo, and Booty.

  • @s4ujxm Yes...I'll take your word for it. I knew he could play bass but never heard or knew when he was playing .This sounds like the original bassline on Funkadelic's ' Tales of Kidd Funkadelic' album .Thanks for the info !

  • I know better. NYC invented scratching records maybe. That, I had never heard before. I personally remember rhyming to music and beats from before first grade to sophomore year in college. NYC invented rap, like Elvis Rock and Roll, and Michael invented the moonwalk. They like NYC invented how to make the most money from the act. They did not invent the act. Scratching was the only thing new to me. That's the best I can honestly do, Russel156

  • I am from Mississippi. I have been listening to Rudy Ray Moore rhyming to music all my life. I remember James Brown’s “King Heroin” after Dolemite, and before “The Undisco Kid”. Before rap, we were Dolemiting to James Brown records at parties. We never stop rhyming to music in the Mississippi valley. When I heard NYC invented rap, it was like telling me Elvis invented rock and roll or Michael Jackson invented the moonwalk. I know who Little Walter was, and I know who Jeffery Daniels is.
