  • god she's fast trough that ice

  • Must be because the icebreaker is sailing in the U.S. waters... When a foreign ship sails on the St.Lawrence River, in Canada, even if they are from Europe or Asia...they fly the Canadian flag, as well as their country or origin flag...

  • @thegreasemonkey69 To clarify, the courtesy flag is usually flown from the tree or mast, while the flag the vessel is registered under is flown from the fantail of the vessel, while warships sometimes remove the flag from the fantail, and fly it from the tree. I have many times seen warships fly a courtesy flag though, but it is usually in the waters of allied nations, such as a US warship visiting a Canadian port.

  • @thegreasemonkey69 Likely because the Canadian Coast Guard are not a military branch (though the officers do have royal commissions), where as the USCG are a branch of the military, and as such, are not required under maritime law to fly a courtesy flag, as it is seen as impinging on their sovereignty. Warships usually fly their nations flag from the cross tree or mast as opposed from the fantail, commonly called a "battle flag", in foreign waters, they still do fly a courtesy flag sometimes.

  • @b1naqm28 This puny thing? LOL it`s at best funny. Russian ice breakers are HUGE and NUCLEAR POWERED - search for Yamal or 50 years of victory - both the best ice breakers in the world. They are the monsters. Fear canadians fear))
