The small town of Cordova, Alaska declared a state of emergency and called out for assistance. More than 50 National Guard Soldiers from Anchorage responded the call, and as part of Operation Deep Dig, traveled by ferry to help dig out the snowbound community after three weeks of snowfall blanketed buildings and roads in nearly 15 feet of snow.

Hosted by Tech Sgt. Amber Monio. Courtesy of DVIDS.

  • this is why I wanna join the Guard, always helping people out, and when they arn't doing that, they are either training, or defending this great country/helping out in other countries.

  • Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of currently serving military, reserves, National Guard, veterans, Peace Officers, and Fire Fighters who will fulfill the Oath we swore, with the support of like minded citizens who take an Oath to stand with us, to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God. Our Oath is to the Constitution
