Operating QRP from Waldshut, Germany

A clip of a 20 meter morse code ham radio contact with UT2QA in the Ukraine using battery power and 2 watts from a park near Lauchringen-Waldshut, Germany. I used the call DL/K7HV in accordance with the EU reciprocal licensing agreement with the US.

MFJ radio?

Yup - it is a MFJ 9020, which I LOVE, it has a hot RX and has the keyer and cw filter options - it is also very light - I carried the 9020 a small gel cell, Emtech ZM2 tuner in a small day pack in a 2 hr hike from Switzerland. Those paddles look inconvenient, if you have to do a two-hand hold every time. I'm thinking of getting some, but let's see--a velcro strap or something with them.
