  • There are companies that have taken the design and brought it up to building codes. One of the them makes the temporary Flexayurt--which can be permanent. Solargon in Colorado makes what it calls the smart cabin. I also talked to a SIP company in Indiana that assured me they could make one with their panels.

  • is that two inch thick insulation

  • muy buen video..felicitaciones!!!

  • I see what you mean. Why not shut the camera off if you're not going to focus on what is going on?

  • yawn

  • Stick it in a tree... it would be a nice tree house..

  • Not in the city limits of any Texas town.

  • Hahaha, the video is pretty useless at 19:58. Skip there for a laugh :D

  • There's now way, way better material linked from HEXAYURT dot COM. You should look there if you're intereted in these things.

  • Not in America, any time soon. There are a few areas without building codes - areas of TX for one place - but this is really not going to fly in the USA except as a temporary shelter like a tent. I think you could probably put one up on a piece of land and live in it while building a real house (see the Econodome design by Wil Fidroeff for example) but that's about your limit.
