GoalHornDJ is obviously one of those politically -correct zealot types who spend their lives trying to find racism in everything. No sensible person could have found my original comment to be racist in any way, shape or form. I was merely defending a cultural institution which I think all newcomers to Canada should embrace. If that's "racist" this country is in trouble.

Technically, if TSN's rights are solely for Canada, NBC could buy them for the U.S. and use it here. Plus, if NBC and CBC teamed together for a once-a-year joint "Hockey Night in Canada...and America," and if NBC solely produced the broadcast, CBC might be in the "legal clear."

too bad TSN bought the rights. so NBC would have to buy it off them...

If CBC can't use it, let NBC use it and share its greatness...but would that take away its Canadian-ness? I always wanted NBC's audience to, one Saturday night, share HNIC with Canada. Maybe have the networks work together on the broadcast. But it HAS to have this theme, or at least a remix of it.

my thought is if they cannot speak any english that cannot be a good thing for any new comers

concidering most things in the largest city in canada is english except for a few pockets of ppl

part of why they tend to group together so they can understand... it is also a culture thing...

i am not racest in any way but it is nice if they learn to speak english even a small bit...same as we have to do when you visit thier country... fair is fair
