Through 1979 was screened at UCLA during the United Khmer Students (UKS) 12th annual culture night, "The Last Generation."

This short covers the tragic events that occur pre-Cambodian genocide through 1979 (the end of the genocide). The narration towards the end is done by Dith Pran.

  • I don't think there are words could adequately describe the heroic, noble loylties of Dith Pran, who risked his life to save his friends back in 1975, and suffered the most unimaginable conditions. It's just haunting seeing pics of all those in S-21. RIP Dith Pran, with more of your type, the world could be a better place. You spoke for all those souls of your country who never got to speak, those whose lives were so cruelly extingushed. They/ we will remember you, always.
