  • Actually, I believe this pedal has a jack on its right side where you can add a pedal for tap tempo. If this is so, it wasn't a Marshall oversight.

  • The jack on the side is for an expression pedal. Here's what the manual said abut that

    2. 'Expression' Socket An expression pedal can be connected to this socket to control the modulation speed. Moving the pedal overrides the speed control on the pedal allowing you to

increase/decrease the control as you perform.

There's no tap tempo. If you really dig the step phase idea and want the tap tempo the Boss PH-3 might be for you.

  • My only problem with pedals from marshall pedals (ive already got a VT-1 vibratrem and im think about getting this) is that, they do use the batterys up quick, other than then that they are bargins i recommend getting them

  • I have over 100 pedals at this point and one thing I'm noticing that a lot of pedals these days are battery eaters.

I have a few other Marshall pedals. I have the VT-1 and the JackHammer JH-1 but my favorite has to be the Gov'Nor. Really nice crunchy pedal.

I may do a review / demo of that someday.

  • the problems i have with marshall pedals is ... if we tryed to plug in the JH1 or Gov'Nor into a tube amp (Engl FIreball and Rockwell Red Trip witch is custom copy of messa) it will ruin the sound so much that theay are nearly unusable on these kind of amps ... anyway plug it into solidstate amp and it will work enougly ... iam now using JH-1on one .. and iam prety much satisfied

  • If I'm getting good distortion from a tube amp I don't usually use distortion pedals. In those cases I might use a TS-9 or something along those lines for a little kick in the pants when needed.

  • need to slow that vibe down man. its not a fender vibroking, its a univibe copy, and it sounds much much better at slower speeds

  • @ryanevans00 I've alway's loved using batteries in my effects pedals for the convience since I don't own a pedal board yet but if you use at least two pedals on a regular basis (like I do) you can't go wrong with a powered brick with cables.Batteries are too damn expensive now and alway's die at the worst time anyway. Thanks for the review SearcySW.

  • this dude sounds like bill paxton... in a sexy way

  • I stand corrected. Thanks for responding and clearing that up. I dig the good reviews and your availability for clarification. Thanks.
