This video shows an example of an effective, scalable tactic called corralling found by multiagent HyperNEAT. The predators encircle the prey formation, forcing them to run inward until the predators can easily capture them with a pincer motion. When more predators are added through scaling there is less chance for the prey to escape the circling and pincer attacks. Note that with 1,000 agents the simulation runs slightly slower from the cost of calculating the behaviors of that many agents simultaneously.
