@SovereignBeing I have run grief groups in a hospice. What keeps people emotionally stuck is the belief that their feelings of grief are somehow harmful to others or unwarranted. This inexpressiveness results in being stuck in depression, anxiety, ect. Those that give their sad feelings honest attention/expression are the ones who are more likely to move into other feelings such as glad, mad, joy ect. Grief is a way of expressing how much love we had for a person.
death is not the end and those who have died go on to their next lives, they would not want you to grieve for them, they would want you to appreciate and remember the good times you had together...
My Dad was murdered when I was 14, I'm currently blogging about it on youtube, hoping it will show other teens they can talk about it and theres some one out there for them ...
My mom died almost 11 years ago when I was just 18. Although I have accepted it, I still experiences mini grieving sessions several times a year. Watching this video made me grieve again.....but I want to keep grieving every once in a while because it means I have not forgotten her. I'm 29 now and there are still times that I wish I had my "mommy". Every year at Mother's Day I still want to go and spit in a few people's faces out of jelousy.
I like life but would like death even better as I am convinced Allah the Lord of the Worlds the Ruler of the Universe will be welcoming my soul - the soul of which we have little knowledge and on the Day of Reckoning I will live forever in the Graden of Delight.
To cry for the dead for more than 4 days is pure cowardice according to Islam the Way of Truth
