First family denies involvement in 2009 scandal

The American diplomatic cables released by whistle blowing agency Wikileaks continue to draw sharp reactions. Both first lady Lucy Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga have refuted claims that members of their families were involved in the maize scandal of 2008, as claimed by leaked American envoy's communication to the U.S. From Nairobi.
