  • Good video and it got my interest up but, the link is dead. I don't see any reference to it on your web site either. ? I would love to see the schematic.

  • @LutherRay Hi, thanks for letting me know. I have now corrected the link. Give it another go! :D

  • Robert, I do not see the BAT54 Diode anywhere on your boards. Where is it locasted? We built our board exactly like your schematic, baut the motor runs only one direction, and it seems the phototransistors have no effect whatsoever. It the Bat54 a necessity? I am subtitutting a zener diode for the moment as the BAT 54 has not come in yet.

BTW, Great Video and clear instructions. James

  • @ColonelKudzu I suggest visiting the forum thread on this circuit if you are having issues, and it's likely you'll find the issue you are having, but if not, simply reply to the thread and someone will hopefully point you in the right direction. Good luck!

  • "Photo Transistors" look more like Photodiodes.

  • Huh, that's pretty good! Nice vid to.

  • Robert, It works well for a single axis tracker.

Here is Mine No circuits dual axis tracker Powered and controlled by the sun.

    look up R156pahlke

  • Robert, YOU rock! Thanks for this video, its highly appreciated.

  • The link doesn't work, where would I get the schematics?

  • If the photodiodes are properly isolated from eachother, and the system has a battery for early-morning power, won't the unit already turn back to the east at first light without any extras? Shouldn't that be easy enough to test with the flashlight?

  • One could use a garden light that turns on at dark to bring the solar panel back to its east position simple and easy!

  • WoW Robert you gave me an idea for making remote control blinds once I figure out a few more things the can be solar.

  • 0:36, i have the same longetech speakers in the background, and i also used to have the same power supply in the background at 3:09 until it stopped working
