Sam White tries to convince his mom that black people aren't that bad.

An unlikely friendship forms in the midst of the Civil Rights Movement. Sam White (Sam Jensen), a white student, befriends an African American student, by the name of Nick Brown. White is ridiculed and harrassed for his involvement in the African American community.
