Praying Mantis vs Hummingbird

Female Praying Mantis eat the male after you know... I have also heard on pray mantis eating other things. I guess this hummingbird must have really made this one mad. And of all things, IT HAPPENED IN MY FRONT YARD. Now don't get me wrong, my first reaction was to save the bird, but you know how mother nature is. Where was my cat when all this was going on?
