This song about trying in a relationship but not hard enough. Letting drugs take over his life because of depression, instead of letting the important things in life engulf himself. He wasn't paying attention to his loved ones, because he was too busy getting too deep into drugs. He was so into drugs that he made her and their life revolve around drugs spending countless nights at his side feeling his pain. Eventually he cleaned up and felt as bad as he was before in drugs as he does now.
