How can you tell if something is propaganda? Does it look like news? Does it sound like news? Does it come from FOX/Rupert Murdoch? It's propaganda. Actually- Does it try to make you afraid of something,or does it try to make you feel like you are better than someone else- because of nationality, race, gender or sexually identification, religeous beliefs, political affiliation, etc.? Then it's propaganda and its used to create enemies, used to unite a group and often divert their focus.

After they liberated Auswitch they raped all the women, some of them over 40 times. Can you imagine the shock of these poor women, especially the Russian women who were considered suspect from the NKVD to have your own country man tearing you to pieces after surviving all those years, I can't even imagine it. I do think though it was factual that the Red Army liberated the prisoners of the NAZI work and concentration camps. These were events in the war. They were reported of course. Sure socialist governments aren't perfect. But look at life for most people in Capitalist America. No "Bright Future" here for the masses for sure.

News can be the most powerful form of propaganda, for those who deliver it can manipulate it and leave things out or lie outright to further their own political agenda. To bring this "morale" as you call it to their people through lies that support a selfish cause
