  • Hummeress when the V8 started up and watching a rubber tube with a troller Ha ha!!!

  • @Tahoedogful

I am just dreaming about something better than the rubber tube with two trollers... I hope, if I get Canadian Government Grants this summer, two my trollers will be faster your V8, and very-very quiet, very quiet.

If you have a chance to test flexi of unsolted water some other way, that is good for you. Show me, please.

  • I think most of power comes from the battery not solar cell. 1 sq meter of solar panel may give as much as 50 Watts of power. there is no point to use 2 kW motors unless there is additional source of energy such as car battery

  • @Thorsupremecommander

One sq meter of solar energy is 1.2 kW of power (100%)

~ 20% convertion rate of one sq meter of two solar panels, it means 240 Watt

I do not use this boat every day. Only for weekends to get Toronto islands. It's good enough for this short travel.

:) I did not use the boat if rain or snow days.

  • Looks a little dangerous for water and electricity in an air filled boat.

  • @eudoxus3

    Much more dangerous is gasoline.

  • I degrade you none what so ever for your effort for a cheaper yet free source of energy Nothing interest me more than perpetual motion witch solar panels can't provide unless in a large quantity and may be 20 to 50 times the size of your boat. So.. With that said.. Take out the Tube. Try a Catamaran, (strait hull) Or Ocean kayak for 3 times the speed. Getrid of the drag! Best of Luck

PS Tie your trolling motors together for your steering

  • Very nice little boat, really neat that it's electric. Thanks for sharing. :)

  • @AlexandrGreen where did you get 20% convertion rate solar panels? there is only one source available now - NASA - 2 mln USD per square meter. Typical industrial solar panel gets 5%, better ones - 11%. 1.2 KW of Solar power is on equaitor. The more south or north you are of the equatior the less power you get. In Europe it is just only 250W. In England - about 100 W in summer time.

  • looks like this video works only at 480p
