i may never laugh again while someone is speaking. i do it allot and realize now how difficult it is to pay attention to someone with that level of giddiness permeating the air. i understand how Nighy's irreverent, self affirming humor which comes across with the complex gesture of english wit and culture can leave one besides themselves, but this is too bad. would love to see a different interviewer engaged in this process.

i'm a bit of a writer and i imagined a pair of interesting old men for a script i've began to write. one was a decorated commercial pilot/1st officor, the other was an eccsentric yet recognized captain, and all i saw in my head was Nighy and Hopkins. . .and they've worked together before? awesome.

I saw Nighy's Edgar at the National Theatre with Hopkins as Lear - to be honest he came across as a bit of a luvvie and a stiff acTOR. Did not rate him much - but since then he has shown himself as an extremely talented and versaile actor, one of my favourites. Keep away from the classics Bill, you made the right choice.
