Koji Attwood performs the world premiere of his transcription of the first movement of Tchaikovsky's Symphony #4 in f minor, op. 36 at the 2009 International Society of the Friends of György Cziffra concert.
the transcription is amazing as well as his playing... i studied with Dr. Attwood and he's one of the finest pianist i've seen, he's also a great guy!!!
Tremendously stunting transcription and playing. The inner disturbance of the original is totally reproduced. I look forward to seeing more transcriptions from Maestro Attwood.
Since this is one of my favorite symphonies to listen to (and perform), I must admit that I'm a bit biased against a solo piano version. However, the transcription and playing are masterly.
This is freaking amazing.
