Meth will Change That?: A Discussion on the Meth Project

This advertisements are suggesting that meth, and only meth, will make you end up in a hospital, beat up your mom, have sex in a dirty bathroom stall, etc. But are there other explanations behind the billboard advertisement? I'm here to give my points on this organization and what I think these advertisements mean behind the line, "Meth will change that".

soo y don't we direct more of that attention to the people who need it like the more common problems... idk maybe there is more meth use where u live idk just so people know im not saying that we shouldn't have that sight or be paying attention to the horrible problems of meth usage.

with the beaten up women... that type of situation would rarely be associated with meth... many children r brought up in abusive families, whether they've witnessed it or they've been the victim. women can be been while being robed or their husband or boyfriend could just snap some day....my point is i know may people with these types of problems but i've never in my life met a person who has done or been around meth.

never a man getting beat up: thats mostly a mind fuck in ads, beating up a woman (weaker and frail) is a trip to make you feel guilty. where as a man (big and strong) would "be able" to protect himself and less people would feel bad for him. nothing sexest, thats just how the advertising world works

as for the images, its a shock treatment thing, again in the ad world. supposedly, if you see a shocking image and have it related to a drug or a beer or something you will not want to do it...
