No matter how successful you are with your weight loss, you are "less than" because you had weight loss surgery and it seems to me that we need to take it out of the dirty back alleys and give it the respect that it has long deserved. Nothing has ever worked for me after 30 years of obesity to help me maintain 7 years as a thin person until weight loss surgery came into in my life so this is my video making fun of how many people treat this procedure and it's time the reputation has changed!
I was 340 lbs November 2010 when I had my surgery. Its now April 2011 and I am down 100lbs and I feel GREAT!! No loose skin and no health problems. Thx to the surgery I can run and play with my kids, wear seatbelts, canoe, and sleep all night long. I would do it again and again. It saved my life. Thx for the great post!!.

What a great video. And oh, so true. I had a VSG in Nov 07 and while I never did get to my goal weight I have lost over 50lb and kept it off, something I never could do on my own. I think most of the stigma is from people not understanding - I was one of those - and almost threatened to divorce my dh when he decided to have WLS. In the end I decided to join him and it's the best thing we have EVER done. Hopefully your video will get some people thinking and understanding.
