I just got a Clearudio turntable and the guy I got it from said you should NEVER used liquids on vinyl unless you have a vacuum machine to clear everything off after cleaning. You should NEVER just let a record sit and dry because all of the crud you swept out of the grooves just gets left back on the record after the fluid "drys".

Just ordered today.. I also recomend buy new inner sleeves.. so you dont put it back into the dirty dusty inner sleeve again

Thank you, you saved me about $50.

It's clever enough, but the spindle device looks rather clumsy to install/remove. With the more expensive "Spin-Clean" system the disc rests on rubber rollers, which looks much easier to use. I presume to alcohol-based cleaning fluid could not be used for shellac 78s? Thanks for the video.

I'm considering buying one of these from amazon,so this video is very usefull :)

For number of turns, put a mark on the spindle flange/clamp as a guide so that you will know the number of turn you have completed. This will also help to identify which side to unscrew.

@ste1200 It works super but you do have to have patience.
Does it ruin the label?Because I saw the first one being wet but i couldnt see what happened with the second record!I really do not want to have the labels bad on some of my good looking lp s !

The newer record labels are pretty much water resistant. Those won't be affected. The older record labels may be damaged slightly. They won't come off though.

Damn I like your videos. As others have suggested I'm guessing the thing uses Isopropyl Alcohol for cleaning. What an interesting contraption, did you buy the unit new or second hand? This is a really ingenious idea, I like the concept behind the product, hopefully the results will justify the price tag. What camera/microphone are you using.

I bought the unit brand new in an electronics store (I was surprised to find it there, I had been searching for this one for years). The price is OK, the results are good.
I was using my Sony HDR-SR11 camcorder, and a cheap clip-on microphone, wich seems to be a bit too sensitive, as you might be able to tell by the occasional distortion in the audio signal.
