  • This guy need to shut up & show the clip, he has an annoying voice

  • Have you ever seen the show Stargate SG-1? If you like sci-fi shows with comedy in it Stargate is PERFECT. Richard Dean Anderson (he played macguyver) is absolutely hilarious and there are plenty of serious scenarios that are serious and switch to comedy quickly.

Search "O'neill vs Ba'al" on youtube and youll see what I mean.

  • @kamwrites Must have been the general impression I got from all the interviews Colin Baker has given over the years.

  • @randomdave30 He didn't try to eclipse Tom Baker in the least. No idea where you've come up with that idea.

  • @kamwrites Colin Baker tried to eclipse Tom Baker, but didn't have the charisma, the talent, or the brilliance.

  • @elfhermie well yes and no. I mean take Dr Who for example In my humble opinion of Series 1-4 I regarded series 4 to be overall the best, but having said that my personal favourite is series 3. i do not disagree that you know these polls or stats of the best at anything don't really mean much and its all subjective, i just mean best and favourite aren't always the same. freuenlty they are but not always. i think ppl regard Tom as best was cos he was there for so long + so alotta ppl's 1st Doctor

  • @227060 Best simply means the one YOU enjoy watching the most. The YOU is interchangeable. That's why there really are no true bests. Still, for a show that, at least here in the States, was only shown casually on PBS stations and was NOT popular with the mainstream by any means, it's a real testament to Tom Baker's likability how so many people to this day (who watched Who in secret) say "the one with the scarf was the best". I agree, but absolutely love Pertwee and Hartnell (and Dalton).

  • @elfhermie does't longevity play into it too. i mean Sean and Tom are who ppl remember in the roles. does that necesarrily = them as the best? i don't think so unless you define the criteria for being the best clearly. ie in 007's case if you were defining best as accuracy to the book well Connery would lose points on his accent alone and technically Dalton would come up trumps. but its subjective. Sean and Tom are indeed the icons but that doesn't always (does sometimes) = the best

  • @kamwrites Spot on friend. whatsmore Tom's popularity is also tied into his longevity. i mean when u are on the show for 7 years u are gonna be alot of ppl's first doctor aren't you. not to do the man discredit he is awesome. u are right about the interpretation. so long as the Doctor has a TARDIS, travels in space/time and loves doing it, rights wrongs and is generally not a killer, then you CANNOT play him wrong, he is supposed to be a jumble of personality traits
