  • It's a shame that most AAL fans only talk about Tosin, don't get me wrong, he is incredible, but Navene and Javier are also just as incredible musicians and don't get as much credit as they should IMO.

  • awesome veil of maya (id) shorts he's wearing.

  • @INtZshakenbake all of AAL are sick mofos.. i had to go back and watch some animosity vids to see earlier Navene, and yes he still was tight as hell in that group too hehe

  • @INtZshakenbake we that know, know.

  • @temporaryonesix Double bounce your right foot on the second bounce do a crash. just keep repeating it.

  • @FastHands1504

BTW, I can really understand the difficulty of RH/RF independence. CAFO around 1:10 - I try to have my foot match the kick and my hand match the cymbals. Sooo hard man...

  • @FastHands1504

Thanks for your advice bro! I'm really envious of limb independence. Kudos to you if its something that you've developed. I'm not a drummer, but I hope to become one!

  • @temporaryonesix It takes as long as you make it take, the first thing you need to do is break your right arm free from your right foot, that's the first step. To do what naviene is doing It could take you anywhere from 4-12 years just depends on how fast you learn and how hard you practice. The best way to achieve it is to SLOW DOWN, slow everything down. just start with a simple beat, and add things in... Like a hi-hat lift on the 3, or the and, of each measure I recommend you take lessons.

  • @FastHands1504

Wow, sounds very sophisticated. How long would you say it takes to develop limb independence/whats the easiest way to acheive it?

  • a simple drum setup and complicated, technical and totally following how the guitar leads... this band tells me playing metal does not need a big kit, Navene literally showing us what can you do with a simple drum kit. But in individual, i supposed he could be the best technical drummer that i've seen.

  • @temporaryonesix Its alot of double bounce grace notes first double bounce is on the snare, then one hit on the bass drum, the double on the bass, and accent hit on the snare just an alternating pattern, its called a rhythmic illusion, the actual pattern isn't to hard its all the shit he throws in between like the grace notes that alternate. Thats why if you don't have limb independence you shouldn't attempt AAL. Think of this drumming like Sped up TOOL and Deathcore together, with double bass.

  • @Justatst123 Ya! everytime he strikes it it looks like there might be another one between what I'm guessing is a splash and crash. Perhaps another splash, regardless it looks beast and sounds pretty damn sexy
