This is a video from 1994, put together by my friends Rick Ridinger and Patrick Miller. It was the inaugural year for our new Cleveland Indians' ballpark, Jacob's Field (now Progressive Field). My friend and bandmate Jim Stamper paved the way for me to send a letter and audio tape of my singing the anthem. That was put together and musically arranged by my friend and bandmate Jim Madden. The day was beautiful and warm for the middle of May, my partner Andrea, my girls Tanya and Leigh and friend Dana were all there with me, along with my friend Jim Stamper who started the whole thing. There were 42,800 people there that day. With friends and family with me, that was the biggest audience I had sung in front of in my entire life. I sang that starting note a hundred times before being escorted out onto the field. It was a hell of a day.
What a stirring rendition of the National Anthem - I loved it!
