My statement that Koch is pronounced COKE here in the US is based on personal exchanges I had with various H&K reps over the years. They always pronounced it COKE. If you'd like another reference, visit the HKPro web site, click on the HKPro's World of HK button, and click on the Special Topics link. Special Topic #2 is titled "How do you correctly pronounce Koch?"

@BijanM It's pronounced COKE by Heckler & Koch in the US. The German pronunciation (caw sound followed by sort of a cough) would be a tough sell and difficult to pronounce in English.

Very good review on a great little pistol. I've owned literally hundreds of handguns over the years and Heckler & Koch (pronounced COKE) has been one of my favorites since I bought my first in the '70s (a P9S). I also carried a P7M8 for the last 7 or 8 years of my career (I retired from the NJSP in '91). They make a great weapon.
I just picked up a P2000 SK .40 S&W and am very happy with it. It's a sweet shooter and very easy to conceal.

you got a good deal...they are $850 around here and come with 2 mags--no lights/laser sights. I got the .40 n i love it.
